Wow, things are moving along quickly, aren't they? However, it seems that most of you are doing well in managing your time and the assignments. I hope you are even beginning to slightly enjoy your technological journey. Remember to ask questions if you have them and come to class early on Friday for extra help :^D
This weekend: We will put your TaskStream NETS I narratives on TaskStream, become Inspired by Inspiration (slight delay ;-), and make a PSA using iMovie, and post your assignments/artifacts to your blog (Emerging Technology Assignment). We are in for a lot of fun this weekend!
Don't forget to bring headphones and a positive attitude to class this weekend.
This weekend's Question: What is your current favorite work of art? It could be a painting, a sculpture, or something else created by an artist. . . Picasso's Guernica is probably my favorite painting. . .and I had the good fortune of seeing it in person at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. . .It's big and very cool.
One of my favorites is Starry Night by Van Gough.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Van Gogh's Sunflower and his Self Portrait.
ReplyDeleteI love photography! My dream is to one day decorate my house with photos I have taken.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a favorite artist or work of art. I do like to stroll through free galleries and check out the paintings!
ReplyDeleteI love to go to Balboa park and look at the old architecture...its beautiful and free!
ReplyDeleteI have a few artists that I really enjoy. My Grandma's work of course,Georgia O'Keefe is another an Ang (can't remember the first name). Ang's work includes my favorite picture (the name escapes me),nude woman with peacock feather. This piece has some controversy about the artist use of proportions on the woman's back.
ReplyDeleteI looked it up online...the artist is Ingres but it is pronounced Ang and the name of the picture is Odalisque. It is in the Louvre.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.

ReplyDeleteI like the Murals of Diego Rivera. I have seen them at La Alhondiga de Granaditas in Guanajuato, Mexico.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite painter is Diego Rivera (Mexican). He has a lot of painting which are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOkay so this won't be as cool to everyone else, but my friend sketched the cover of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid for me because it's my favorite movie. It is amazing and I have it framed in my room.
ReplyDeleteI also love Richard Avedon. I was able to see an exhibit of his in Denmark and it was gorgeous photography.
It's a tie between my self portrait for this class ;-P ,one of Davinci's inventions (probably the glider) and one of Salvador Dali's drippy clocks; depending on my mood.
ReplyDeleteI love all of Modigliani's paintings.
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed the surreal experience of Salvador Dali... Always fun to get lost in one of his paintings...
ReplyDeleteI love all photography...even my own!
ReplyDeletemy favorite painting hangs in my entrance foyer. it is a giant bali painting i fell in love with and my parents bought for me when i was in the 8th grade. i have no idea who painted it but it depicts in vivid detail the many facets of balinese life, culture and dance.
ReplyDeleteI love what Edgar Mueller does with chalk!
ReplyDeleteHere is a web address to some of his art.
oops I actually didn't add the web address
ReplyDeleteI think that Anselm Kiefer work is amazing. He uses a variety of media such as sand, hair and metals in his work. Anselm was an artist during WW2 so alot of his work is dark and abstract.
ReplyDeleteMy parents make stained glass for a living, so I love stained glass and looking at windows in churches and old historical buildings, especially in Europe
ReplyDeleteI love my sons' drawings of pirates and dinosaurs and their photography of animals.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say anything modern because it reminds me of my daughter's emerging love for this type of art!
ReplyDeleteMichelangelo's Sistine Chapel is magnificant!
ReplyDeleteI also like Monet's artwork. He has a painting with lilies that looks pretty. I don't know what it is called. I saw it on display in San Diego at the Museum of Art.
I also like Michelangelo's Pieta. It is a beautiful sculpture!
My brother Tom always sketched some amusing pieces. His style was similar to Escher's. I like art shows; unfortunately when I find something I really like it is always way too expensive.
ReplyDeleteMine would have to be any work by Vincent Van Gogh. I saw his original work in an Art museum in Amsterdam. His family had donated all the paintings to the museum. Very sad life story. He died very poor.
ReplyDeleteI like almost all of Di Vinci's work
ReplyDeleteok.. its so cliche.. but my favorite artist at the moment is my daughter..
ReplyDelete"Happy Valentine's Day Mommy"
I feel the opera/musical is a kind of art too.
ReplyDeleteI like lion-king :)
